As part of the Idaho Math Initiative, the Idaho State Department of Education has partnered with the Initiative for Developing Mathematical Thinking at Boise State to offer the Mathematical Thinking for Instruction class.

Registration will begin April 2, 2014 at 8:00 am Mountain. All locations, dates, and times are subject to change. (NOTE: Any exceptions are explained below with the specific course.)

Fall 2014 K-3 Meridian32/Full

This K-3 MTI course will be held in Meridian at Desert Sage Elementary with the following schedule: Saturdays (8:30-5:30) September 13, 27, October 11; Wednesdays (4:30-9:00) September 17, 24, October 1, 8

Fall 2014 6-12 Hybrid Kuna32/Full

This 6-12 Hybrid MTI course will be held in Kuna at Kuna High School with the following schedule: Saturday, September 13 (8:30 am - 5:30 pm) and Monday, November 10 (4:30 - 9:00 pm). The remainder of the class is delivered asynchronously online. We highly recommend you have high speed internet access at home, you feel competent in attaching/posting documents and pictures, and you have previously participated in an online course. You will not be required to be online during a certain time on a specific day, although there will be due dates for all assignments. This course will require approximately 3-4 hours per week of your time for about 10 weeks.

This 6-12 Hybrid MTI course will be held in Rupert at the Minidoka School District Office with the following schedule: Saturday Sept 20 (8:30 am - 5:30 pm) & Thursday Nov 6 (4:30 - 9:00 pm). The remainder of the class is delivered asynchronously online. We highly recommend you have high speed internet access at home, you feel competent in attaching/posting documents and pictures, and you have previously participated in an online course. You will not be required to be online during a certain time on a specific day, although there will be due dates for all assignments. This course will require approximately 3-4 hours per week of your time for about 10 weeks.
